I began my teaching career in 1986 when I graduated from Georgia Southern University.  I have a Master's degree from Georgia Southwestern and a Specialist degree from Troy State University.  I love teaching and enjoy seeing children become problem solvers and watching them make their own discoveries. I have been at DPPS since the school opened in 2003.  My goal is to make reading fun and inspire kids to be lifelong learners.  I continue to be a learner and recently added Reading Endorsement to my resume in 2020.
